Frank Gaona
Frank graduated in 2020 as a first-generation graduate from TAMU-Kingsville with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He managed a restaurant which required him to oversee staff, inventory, and the point of sales system as well as troubleshoot issues. He joined Texas A&M AgriLife - Corpus Christi in the UAS department as a Research Assistant and obtained his Part 107 license. He aided in surveying research plots and agronomists’ fields to extract plant growth data. To encourage drones in agriculture, he led field demonstrations for students, teachers, and farmers in the surrounding South Texas area. He also co-led a workshop that aided in the research of appropriate data for graduate studies.
