Joe Henry
Joe leads the Strategy and Business Development Campaign for the Autonomy Research Institute (ARI), 1 of 7 Nationally designated FAA Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS) Test Sites. Joe develops the organization's partner and client engagement strategy expanding the ARI R&D portfolio while identifying UAS related technology-commercialization opportunities through Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. Today, Joe’s primary focus includes expanding the ARI Sponsored Research Portfolio aligning with UAS Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) that desire to conduct medium to large UAS Aeronautics Research for Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) and other complex UAS operations.
Joe also assists the ARI Leadership with identifying key partnerships to enable the organization to implement a State-Wide Emergency Management UAS utilization strategy while extending on-going outreach to UAS manufacturers that are looking for opportunities to establish their operation in the Corpus Christi area expanding job creating opportunities in the Coastal Bend.
Prior to joining ARI, Joe served in a variety of key leadership positions including Director Corporate Business Development and lead for the FAA UAS Test Site competition (Camber Corporation), Chief Operating Officer (the Reger Group), Senior Advisor for the Director, US Army Rapid Equipping Force (REF), Director for the US Army National Simulation Center, Futures Directorate (GS15) and Director Exercises, for the Chief of Staff Army’s Louisiana Maneuvers Task Force (GS15).
