TAMU-CC requires key researchers and employees to complete training regarding export control requirements and processes to comply with U.S. export control laws and regulations. Failure to comply with export control laws can lead to consequences.
Training is required depending on an individual’s job role or access to (or use of) controlled items.
The following persons are required to take basic export control training at least once every two (2) years:
- TAMU-CC employees with managerial or supervisory authority over Foreign Nationals or projects involving Controlled Items or Information;
- Individuals whose activities or job functions require access or interaction with Controlled Items or Information; or
- Individuals whose responsibilities include performing Restricted Party Screening or other export control review functions (Export Control Liaisons).
